Here’s a 19-year-old girl on a zebra blanket! The hard part of this impromptu portrait was having to hold the camera in one hand and my off-camera fill light in the other. The result was a striking study of my precious model.
About Carl Wilkerson
Having lived in the Southwest for over 15 years, Carl Wilkerson has become one of its most thoughtful observers. Among his creative, philosophical and intellectual pursuits, photography has become central. "A camera produces both an object, the photograph, and a record of the subjective," Wilkerson observes. "There are so many things I can explain only through a picture. Words are not always enough." His works include: ethnography, landscapes and cityscapes, models and portraits (of both human and furry variety).
