Artist's Description

Because it’s an abandoned playground, get it? The original image was in color, but we converted it to B & W in post just to experiment. It was so different, it looked like it wasn’t even taken at the same playground. We did a metal print of it that now hangs in our apartment.

About Carl Wilkerson

Carl Wilkerson

Having lived in the Southwest for the past 10 years, Carl Wilkerson has become one of its most thoughtful observers. Among his creative, philosophical and intellectual pursuits, photography has become central. "A camera produces both an object, the photograph, and a record of the subjective," Wilkerson observes. "There are so many things I can explain only through a picture. Words are not always enough." His works include: ethnography, landscapes and cityscapes, models and portraits (of both human and furry variety). He generally simply captures what interests him in the moment, but he is available for commissions.
